KCDC is continuing it’s work on transparency and in doing so, we would like to announce a few updates to our organization that will continue the work we have started over the past six months.
Board Members
On August 31, 2020 we held our annual membership meeting over Zoom, with a link sent out to KCDC members and a compiled list of members from the Kansas City Pride Community Alliance formerly known as “Friends of KCDC.” Members in attendance voted for candidates Craig Armstrong, Tyler Bell and Michael Craig.
October 18, 2020 – Craig Armstrong resigned from his position on the board.
November 12, 2020 – Donnyel Gregory resigned from his position as President, naming Jesse Polt as acting president for the remainder of Gregory’s active term. More information regarding his resignation can be found in out 11.12.2020 Meeting Minutes.
Financials
November 12, 2020, the board of KCDC moved forward with the notion to work with CBIZ to conduct a financial review of KCDC Finances. Stuart Woody, Treasurer will be working with them providing all requested documentation and records. The financial review will be posted here as soon as it has been completed.
Community Meetings
We will begin hosting community meetings quarterly starting in 2021. Members of the community will be able to submit questions and feedback prior and get answers during the meeting. Meeting information will continued to be developed and information will be made available to the public as details finalize. KCDC closed meeting occure the second Thursday of every month and we will be hosting one community meeting each quarter. Quarterly Community Meetings will take place: Janruary 14, 2021 | April 8, 2021 | July 8, 2021 | October 14, 2021.
Other News
We will be conducting some Website Maintenance in the comming weeks, so you may experience some errors during that process. We will notify everyone over social media when the upgrades begin and wrap up.
